Do you need support?
If you are struggling to cope, because of issues with your mental health or difficult life circumstances, you don’t have to keep it to yourself. Reaching out to talk to someone about your problems or worries is the first step to getting help and dealing with them, and you should feel no shame or embarrassment for doing so.
There are many specialist support organisations who you can contact for advice about your mental and emotional wellbeing – some will simply listen to you without judgement, some can signpost you to other sources of support, and others will provide therapies for those with a diagnosed mental health condition.
We have listed several options to seek help here, from national charities to smaller local organisations working in your local area. In addition to these, you can also contact your GP who will be able to refer you to local NHS mental health services if appropriate, and in some areas you can self-refer to your local talking therapies service.
