Healthy Start
If you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, the Healthy Start scheme can help you to buy healthy foods like milk or fruit and get free vitamins.

School Clothing Scheme – Northumberland & Tyneside
The Community School Clothing Scheme offers free pre-loved school uniforms for schools around North Tyneside, Northumberland.


Parents & Guardians

Care to Learn: Overview
The Care to Learn scheme can help with childcare costs while you study. You must be aged under 20 at the start of your course.

Parents’ Learning Allowance
You may be eligible for help with your learning costs if you’re a full-time student with children. This is called Parents’ Learning Allowance.

Guardian’s Allowance
You could get Guardian’s Allowance if you’re bringing up a child whose parents have died. You may also be eligible if there’s one surviving parent.
